What makes an effective team?

A team should be limited in size and, ideally, be even in number

An even number means that no one person has the casting vote, ensuring that teams are required to reach consensus. Too many people create chaos; too few, exhaustion.

A team should be dynamic and respond to its external environment

A team is not an island. It should be responsive to the needs of the organisation, and the members should contribute as and when required.
